Peter Mielzynski Agencies (PMA) and Distell Wine & Spirits (Canada) have announced that, effective July 1, PMA will represent the wine portfolios Nederburg, Inception, Obikwa and Blouberg nationwide, in addition to their existing Distell portfolio.

This news comes on the heels of PMA’s agreement to work with Breakthru Beverage Group to strengthen and enhance its services across Canada.

“Distell represents an incredibly unique and diverse portfolio of wines,” says John Donohue, PMA general manager. “By expanding our partnership with such a premier brand, we maintain great momentum as we continue to build our portfolio and expand our reach throughout the country. We look forward to a bright future with Distell, and are confident we will achieve continued success with all of our supplier partners and remain an industry leader.”

PMA is strengthening its organization across Canada, expanding its sales force, and enhancing finance, IT, training and analytics expertise, the company says. Distell’s decision to consolidate its portfolio with PMA is a result of this new strategic investment and commitment.

“The consolidation of our portfolio within PMA Canada will help us improve our operating efficiencies while increasing distribution across the country,” says Brenda Wylie, Distell Wine & Spirits Inc. country manager, Canada. “In addition to the new systems, resources and coverage being established with PMA’s new partnership with Breakthru Beverage, we are confident this expansion will accelerate the growth of our premium wine and spirits brands in Canada.”

PMA also represents the Distell wine brands Two Oceans, Fleur du Cap, Durbanville Hills and Flat Roof Manor; spirit brands Amarula, Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky, Bunnahabhain, Cape Mountain Single Grain Whisky, Deanston, Three Ships Whiskies and Tobermory; and Savana Dry Premium Cider.
