Southern Glazer’s Appoints Patrick Cassidy to EVP & GM of FL

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has appointed Patrick Cassidy to the position of Executive Vice President, General Manager of Florida.

The move is effective July 1, 2018.

In this role, Cassidy will be responsible for the company’s performance in the state of Florida, and will report directly to Gene Sullivan, whom Cassidy replaces and who was recently promoted to President, East Region for Southern Glazer’s.

“I can’t think of anyone better suited for this role,” says Sullivan. “Patrick is a proven leader with more than two decades of experience at Southern Glazer’s. I am confident that he will do a great job of building upon our success in Florida.”

Cassidy has worked for the company for more than 20 years, advancing through roles of increasing responsibility, from sales management to VP-level positions. In his most recent role as South Florida Vice President and General Manager for Southern Glazer’s, he led a division that played a role in supporting all company suppliers. He also held leadership roles in Southern Glazer’s Coastal Wine & Spirits and Signature Wine & Spirits divisions.

Cassidy is a graduate of Southern Glazer’s Emerging Leaders Program, a competitive development program for talent across the Southern Glazer’s organization. He is also a graduate of the Company’s Preeminent Leadership Program, in partnership with the Harvard Business School of Executive Education. ​Cassidy graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Business Administration and Management.
