Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits last week celebrated “Warehouse Employee Appreciation Week,” a week designed to acknowledge and celebrate the Company’s 3,500 warehouse personnel. Southern Glazer’s warehouse employees are responsible for the receipt, storage, handling, packaging, and redistribution of the thousands of products provided to customers every day.

“The people who work in our warehouses play an integral role in Southern Glazer’s continued success,” said Ron Flanary, Senior Vice President, National Operations, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. “The delivery of wine and spirits products to more than 360,000 customers annually is made possible largely due in part to the industry-leading lean processes and procedures that our warehouse staff execute daily. We are truly proud of their unmatched dedication to delivering quality and efficiency; Warehouse Employee Appreciation Week gives us the opportunity to get that message across and show our gratitude for all they do.”

Festivities, from catered meals to raffles and giveaways, were held throughout the course of the week at all 47 Southern Glazer’s distribution centers across the U.S. and in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“Promoting a great safety culture is a top priority at Southern Glazer’s, and it’s something you can readily witness by simply walking into one of our warehouse facilities,” said, Kay Yoder, Vice President, Environmental, Health and Safety, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. “The Company’s warehouse personnel are a constant testament to our commitment to safety.”

Southern Glazer’s operates 12.5 million square feet of warehouse space and makes 6.4 million customer deliveries annually.
