The Andes, Mendoza, ArgentinaConvivium Brands CEO Steve Seltzer has found some amazing sources for great-value private label wines in Bordeaux, France and Mendoza, Argentina.

"There are still good values to be found in Argentina, and some responsive and aggressive wineries are more than meeting us halfway.  We have been offered some exceptional wines in a range of prices, from entry-level to Grand Reserva. "

Along with the most-requested Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Convivium Brands can offer Torrontes in a range of pricing, as well as a small amount of Moscato, a grape that is suddenly very popular.  The Moscato has a good amount of residual sugar, and is a crowd-pleaser.

Ch Mouton RothschildConvivium Brands has also been offered some Bordeaux Superieur 2008 from a well-established Chateau.  The average age of the vines is 35 years old.  The wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and is priced to retail around $11.99.  This is a perfect wine for a retailer to utilize either as their own label or an exclusive brand, as the Chateau has limited availability and can offer regional exclusivity.
